British Indulgence was born out of the desire to continue the family tradition of working within the textile industry, following in the footsteps of my great grandad who was employed as a shuttle maker for most of his life, and of my great grandmother who aged 13 years went to work full time in the mills of Lancashire. Originally from Oxfordshire, my great great grandmother's family moved up to Lancashire in the 1870's to find work in the mills.
Our company strives to use the finest fabrics and materials to produce products which would be the perfect addition to any home or wardrobe. We source fabrics for the cushions and footstools direct from mills across the British Isles, and the footstool legs are solid oak, and hand turned by a skilled carpenter in Yorkshire.
Our scarves are hand knitted from 98% alpaca wool, giving such a luxurious finish, you'll never want to be without them!
Whether it is a gift for a loved one, or simply a little bit of indulgence for yourself, we hope that you love your products just as much as we did designing and making them!
